The VH group was established in 1971, when motivated by his wife Late Smt. Uttaradevi Rao, our founder Chairman Late Padmashree Dr. B.V.Rao, fondly referred to as “The Father of the Indian Poultry Industry”, established Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt. Ltd. in Pune (India). Today the group is popularly known the world over as “Venky’s”. With a unique combination of expertise and experience and supported by strategic collaborations, the Group company diversified its activities to include SPF eggs, chicken and eggs processing, broiler and layer breeding, genetic research and Poultry diagnostic & research Centre, Poultry vaccines and feed supplements, vaccine production, bio-security products, Poultry feed & equipment’s, nutritional health products, soya bean extract and many more. Today the group is the largest fully integrated poultry group in Asia. The VH group today plays proud parent to a number of reputed organizations under its wide umbrella and successfully caters to poultry and its allied sectors. The pioneering efforts of the VH Group have been well rewarded with several national and international awards.”

Mrs. Desai, is the chairperson of The VH Group. With over 38 years of experience in the poultry industry, her dynamic and capable leadership has propelled the Group to unprecedented success nationally & globally. As a Chairperson of the National Egg Co-ordination Committee, she has played a significant role in the quantum leap of egg production, consumption and export of poultry products. She is the first woman to be elected as President of World Poultry Science Association (IB) for 4 years from 1996

Mr. B. Venkatesh Rao

As the Managing Director of Uttara Foods & Feeds Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Rao has been instrumental in elevating the company to the heights it occupies today. He has by his proactive approach enhanced the performance of the Company to high level of efficiency and productivity especially operations and marketing of poultry feed. He is also the Vice-Chairman of the National Egg Co-ordination Committee and a recipient of the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award.

Mr. B. Balaji Rao

Managing Director - Venky’s (India) Ltd.

Mr. B. Balaji Rao joined the business at a very young age. Under his leadership, Venky’s (India) Ltd. has excelled in the production of Specific Pathogen Free Eggs, Processed Chicken, Nutritional Health Products & Pet Healthcare Products. He is a Director in all of the Group’s companies.

Mr. Jitendra M. Desai

Managing Director - Venkateshwara Research & Breeding Farm Pvt. Ltd.

Jitendra M Desai is Director of the Company since 1993. He is member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has expertise in corporate structuring, financial management and taxation.

Ms. Uttara J. Desai

Director

Ms. Uttara J. Desai is an Arts Graduate. She holds the position of Managing Director of Venkateshwara B.V. Bio-Corp Private Limited, a VH Group Company She is also a Director of Venkateshwara Hatcheries Private Limited, the flagship company of the Group. She is looking after veterinary pharmaceuticals and Medical Nutrition Divisions of VH Group. Ms. Uttara Desai possesses leadership skills and is actively involved in product development, marketing strategies and brand building.
